SOUL THFC vs HALLS AFC

In a thrilling showdown on September 14, 2024, Soul Tower Hamlets FC secured a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Halls AFC, with Mackenzie stealing the spotlight as Player of the Match. Right from the first whistle, Soul Tower Hamlets showed their intent, taking control early. Within just four minutes, Shareef Ali latched onto a perfectly-timed ball from Casey and fired it into the back of the net, sending the home crowd into a frenzy.

The early goal energized Soul Tower Hamlets, and Mackenzie soon found himself orchestrating another attack. Combining with Shareef, Mackenzie carved through the Halls defence with precision, threading a brilliant ball into the box. Waiting at the far post, Timothy Monsheju coolly finished the chance, marking his 8th goal of the season. Monsheju’s consistency in front of goal has been one of the highlights of the campaign, and this goal only added to his growing tally.

Halls AFC tried to fight back, and their persistence paid off when Yokow scored a stunning free kick. The perfectly curled effort brought the score line to 2-1, momentarily shifting the momentum. However, Mackenzie had other plans. With his relentless play, he found himself inside the box in the second half and unleashed a powerful shot to the left of the goalkeeper, who was left rooted to the spot as the ball hit the back of the net. This goal not only restored Soul Tower Hamlets’ two-goal advantage but also cemented Mackenzie’s dominant presence on the pitch.

As the game neared its end, Soul Tower Hamlets refused to ease off. Mackenzie, once again at the heart of the action, set up a counterattack that saw Mahin Zaman break through the defense. Zaman squared the ball perfectly to Dillon Woods, who calmly slotted the final goal of the match, sealing a 4-1 win. Woods’ goal was a testament to Soul Tower Hamlets’ cohesive team play, but it was Mackenzie’s vision and execution that truly stood out.

Mackenzie’s performance was nothing short of exceptional. His goal, assist, and overall playmaking throughout the match earned him the well-deserved title of Player of the Match. He not only dictated the pace but was instrumental in breaking down Halls AFC’s defence multiple times, showing why he is a key player in Soul Tower Hamlets’ lineup this season.

With this victory, Soul Tower Hamlets continues their strong form in the Southern Counties East Football League (SCEFL) Division One, solidifying their position in the league standings and staying unbeaten in the league.
