Soul Tower Hamlets reclaimed their place at the summit of the Essex Senior League with a 1–0 victory away at Harwich & Parkeston. It was a night that demanded character, discipline, and patience — and the boys in red and white delivered all three in abundance.

The decisive moment came in the 33rd minute, when Samir Bihmoutine pounced on a defensive lapse to slot home the only goal of the game. It was a classic striker’s finish — alert, composed, and ruthless — the kind of moment that defines tight matches away from home.

From there, the contest became an intense battle. Harwich pressed for a way back, but Soul THFC stood tall across the pitch. Georges Kebi, commanding at the back and calm under pressure, was immense throughout — fully deserving his Man of the Match recognition. Behind him, Sidi and the defensive unit stayed organised, while Ashaan and Kebi worked tirelessly in midfield to manage the tempo and break up play.

As the rain began to fall and the hosts threw men forward late on, Soul’s resilience shone through. Every tackle, every clearance, and every block was met with determination — a team performance full of grit and unity.

At the final whistle, the celebrations said it all. This was more than three points — it was a statement win, away from home, that sends Soul Tower Hamlets back to the top of the Essex Senior League table.

💬 “It wasn’t pretty at times, but the lads dug deep and earned the right to win,” said Terry Spillane post-match.

Finally, a massive thank you to every member of the Soul faithful who made the long trip to Harwich. Your voices carried the team through another massive 90 minutes. Safe journey home — and enjoy it, table-toppers!
